Protect Computers From Hardware Loss And Damages

Protect Computers From Hardware Loss And Damages

There are several ways that we can protect our computers from being lost or stolen. The best way to protect our computers is to use preventive measures. In order to know which preventive measure you are going to use is depending on where the computer is located. You will protect your home computer differently than the way you protect you computers at scholl or at work. Here are a few suggestions on how you can protect your computer. Step 1 Lock Room Where Computers Are Stored If at work or at home , you should have your computer set-up in a room that can be locked when your away. When at work you may want to limit the access others may have to this room. At home you want to locked the room your computer is in when your gone from home for a long period of time. Step 2 Cable Locks For Computers There are cable locks that we are familiar with in which they are used on most public computers. These cable locks are small but strong cables that allow you to lock the base of the computer to a stable foundation. The cables cannot be cut or torn off of the computer. As long as the foundation you have the computer connected to cannot be moved, your computer is protected. Step 3 Computer Tracking Software This software doesn’t prevent others from taking your computer, but it does provide your computer with a special way to be identified when it’s connected to a network. When it’s connected the software company will identify it and this information is then given to the police and they have what they need to recover your computer.
